There are a lot of fun things to do this holiday season and since it seems we've been violently pushed into December right after Thanksgiving, you might be wanting to get in the mood a little sooner rather than later. Well, if you wait too long, it will be 2020 so here's what's going on around the Palm Desert area to get you in the holiday spirit.

Wild Lights

the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens explodes with millions of gorgeous Christmas lights Saturday, December 7 from 6 to 9 PM. You can take in millions of twinkling lights as they dazzle you, your guests, and your family. This is such a fun event at the Living Desert Zoo. Had out there in the morning and stay for the festivities at night.

Colors of Christmas

on Friday, December 13 at 8:00 PM at the McCallum theater at 73000 Fred it wearing it Drive in Palm Desert is a holiday tradition filled with music, stars, and classics. Enjoy Peabo Bryson, BeBe Winans, and Jodi Watley just to name a few all backed up by a 12 piece band.

Festival of Lights Parade

In Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs on Saturday, December 7. You can enjoy the gorgeous festival of lights Parade. This annual tradition starts at 5:45 PM until 8 PM and it is a free Palm Springs event. Enjoy the spirit and joy of the holiday season the brings deadly 100,000 people annually to downtown Palm Springs. And of course, you'll definitely see Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Welcome Winter Festival

On December 7 from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM is the Palm Desert Civic Center Park Winter Festival. Enjoy food, shopping, music, games and raffles. You can get a picture with Santa in his sleigh and all proceeds benefit Ronnie's house for hope. You'll even experience America's got talent's season 13 golden buzz their winner Mikayla Phillips.

The Storm Large Holiday Ordeal

Located at the McCollum theater in Palm Desert on Saturday, December 14 starting at 8:00 PM you can celebrate with Storm Large. With stunning vocals, wicked charm, and a unique variety show, this is something not to miss. Tickets are between $30 and $60.

Christmas with the Crawfords

Located in Rancho Mirage on December 6 at 8:00 PM you can enjoy a very special live radio broadcast at the Desert Rose Playhouse through December 22. Tickets are between $34 and $37. Click here to register.

Brian Setzer Orchestras Christmas Rocks Tour

on December 20 a McCollum theater in Palm Desert at 8:00 PM you can enjoy this iconic guitarist, songwriter, vocalist, and three time Grammy award winner and his 19 piece orchestra as they whip up a huge dose of holiday cheer with their 16th annual Rocks! To her. It will feature music from their holiday albums and a few new renditions. Tickets are between $65 and $155.

Kansas City Symphony – Christmas Festival in Palm Desert.

There are various days this unique Symphony will be playing so check the website for tickets and dates. This will be a unique holiday rendition of some of your favorite Christmas music, holiday tunes, and music filling the air with the sounds of the Symphony.
